Dear Girls…. Wake up and walk with the Lions! Let those who walk with the lions not discourage you to do so. Let them not say that it is a risky thing meant for the male species. If they have tamed the lions and now walk with them, what makes it hard for you to do so? Why are the men the only ones who deal with such stuff? Lions can kill men…yet men can tame lions and walk with the lions. So then why would it be risky for the girl child to walk with the lions when it is also as risky for the boy child?
Yes I know they are saying the boy child is now so neglected because everyone is talking about the girl child and how we need to help her out. But I can assure you the boy child is really nowhere near the girl child when it comes to the long history of oppression. Women and Girls have gone through it for years on end.
In fact most women in history of art were never known. Some had to use male names and indeed stayed anonymous so as to be allowed to sell or display their work! For sure it is a great thing to see Women thrive in Art today! I know there is a lot I can say about female oppression in this world up till today. Yet, I don’t want to dwell on that.
Today I want to celebrate all women and girls of this world. Go out there and face the world boldly! Like we do with boys, we should always encourage our daughters to take risks in whatever field. Art world, Movie making world, in sports, entrepreneurship …. Simply all the fields that men excel in.
Girls boldly get out there and walk with the lions. Gaze into their mouths and calmly take control… let the world feel your presence... Don’t be always in a corner imagining that Rocket science is for boys only… that is a thing you are made to believe… It is not true. Get into the thick of things!
One thing is for sure, there are thousands of women who have made it in the so called male dominated fields. For sure, the last time I checked, there is no such a thing as male or female brain. A brain is a brain is a BRAIN.
